Cafe Costanzo

If the name Joseph Costanzo, Jr., rings a bell, it's because he is one of Pittsburgh most honored restaurateurs. The manager of Café Costanzo is the former owner of The Primadonna Restaurant, a McKees Rocks destination, for many years."Joe" was always seen hanging around greeting customers, shaking their hands, sitting down with them to make sure every detail of their dining experience was great. In the process, the restaurant became known wide and far for not only it's great service, but fantastic food and atmosphere. His restaurant won many awards, including the prestigious DiRoNA award. Joe won many himself, including on of America's Top 10 Restaurateurs and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's 1990 Restaurateur of the Year. This makes him arguably the most decorated restaurateur of his generation.

On a smaller scale, Joe brings his skills at providing quality food in a great setting in Pittsburgh's uptown section just across the street from the Mellon Arena and just up the street from the site of the new arena for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Come join him for dinner, either a full one or just a sandwich. Or just have a beverage at the full-scale bar. It’s free parking while dining at the Café at Washington Plaza,a quick right off Crawford Street. If the arena is your destination, beat the traffic and come early to sit down and have a beverage and a sandwich before the event. Then you can watch the madness of everyone else rushing to get therefrom a table outside across the street!
